Members of the 234th Army Band live throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington, serving part time while pursuing civilian careers, attending school, and building lives in their communities.
As members of the Oregon Army National Guard, Band Soldiers typically train one weekend each month and participate in approximately two weeks of annual training each year. Additional performance opportunities occur throughout the year at military ceremonies, community events, concerts, and festivals.
Army musicians have the opportunity to continue performing at a high level while earning military pay, education benefits, and other benefits of National Guard service.
